Protus har ju sina egna städrutiner och organiserar på det sätt ni önskar. Men vi vill att ni tar del av texten ur ön Main dokument och anpassar städningen utifrån det.


Clothes and color-coding
For hygiene, we use color-coding to ensure that mops and cleaning cloths are not used in the wrong space.

  • Red → Kitchen only

  • Blue → All common areas and bedrooms. 

  • Green → Showers: doors and sinks, Toilets: doors and sinks only.
          Both indoor and outdoor.

  • Yellow → Only for the toilet itself and the toilet seat.

  • White or grey microfiber cloth → Only for mirrors and glassdoor

Checklists to simplify
We have created checklists for the different areas and rooms to help you to organize the cleaning and maintain a desired level of cleanliness.


* Bedrooms (plus “Universum” - the bedroom next to the electric sauna)

  • Shake the rug

  • Shake blankets and pillows

  • Shake bedspreads

  • Vacuum corners, under the bed, under the desk, inside wardrobes, and drawers. 

  • Wipe the window frame, desk, desk chair, shelves, wardrobe doors, hallway areas above the door, and the window (use general detergent and blue cloth) 

  • Mop the floor with lukewarm water (with a little soap added) 

  • Take out the trash and refill with new bag

  • Make the bed with one pillow and one blanket per bed (put them back in their original places if moved). 

  • Add small pillows on top of the bedspread

  • Make sure it’s four hangers in the wardrobe

  • Draw the curtains

  • Clean the glassdoor and mirror with white or grey microfiber cloth and the detergent marked “mirrors and glassdoors”.

  • Turn off all lights

  • Close and lock the door

* Eftertanken (small conference room in the end of Deck)

  • Shake the rug 

  • Wipe all shelves, window frames, and window sills (use general detergent and blue cloth)

  • Shake blankets and pillows on the chairs 

  • Vacuum and mop the floor with lukewarm water (with a little soap added)

  • Organize chairs, blankets, pillows, and rugs 

  • Organize the shelves (leave a better trace)

  • Draw the curtains 

  • Turn off all lights

  • Close the door



* Agora 

  • Shake all mattresses, yoga chairs, blankets, and pillows 

  • Dust all surfaces and window frames, including alcoves (use general detergent and blue cloth)

  • Vacuum the rug (do not shake) and the floor 

  • Mop the floor with water (with a little soap added) 

  • Arrange yoga chairs, tables, rugs, blankets, and pillows 

  • Place the yoga chairs and mattresses to the right to ensure the door is always accessible (escape route in case of fire) 

  • Organize the items on the shelves (leave a better trace

  • Restock firewood

  • Clean fireplace. Important, use paper, these glass are NOT cleaned with the white and grey microfiber cloths. Empty ash.

  • Recycle burned out candles (metal) and refill the lightholders with new ones 

  • Close the windows (don't forget this)

  • Turn off all lights



* The Dining hall

  • Wipe all tables, chairs, and general surfaces (use general detergent and blue cloth) 

  • Vacuum both rugs (do not shake) and the floor. Important, if you put chairs on tables be careful that they do not fall down)

  • Mop the floor with lukewarm water (with a little soap added) 

  • Put chairs back on the floor and reset the arrangement 

  • Organize the items on the shelves (leave a better trace

  • Recycle burned out candles and refill the lightholders with new ones 



* Hallway

  • Vacuum

  • Mop the floor with lukewarm water (with a little soap added) 

  • Arrange wardrobe, indoor slippers, shoes, and items on the shelves (leave a better trace



* Toilets

  • Clean and scrub the toilet with cleaning products and the toilet brush

  • Wipe the toilet seat and toilet body with general detergent (yellow cloth)

  • Wipe the faucet and door handle with general detergent (green cloth) 

  • Polish the mirror with white or grey microfiber cloth and detergent that says “Mirrors and glassdoor”

  • Refill toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer 

  • Take out the trash and replace with new bags 

  • Sweep and mop the floor (with a little soap added) 

  • Close the window (don't forget this)

  • Wash towels in the laundry room

  • Turn off all lights



* Showers

  • Wipe the shower door and shower walls (green cloth) 

  • Wipe the faucet and door handle (green cloth)

  • Clear the shower drain of hair and dit (including the drain cover)

  • Polish the mirror with white or grey microfiber cloth and detergent that says “Mirrors and glassdoor”

  • Soap, and hand sanitizer 

  • Take out the trash and replace with new bags (if needed, no need to waste a near-empty bag)

  • Sweep and mop the floor (with a little soap added) 

  • Close the window (don't forget this)

  • Wash towels in the laundry room

  • Turn off all lights



* Deck

  • Wipe outdoor tables and benches (blue cloth) 

  • Wipe outdoor faucets and outdoor showers (green cloth) 

  • Sweep the entire deck to remove leaves, etc. 

  • Fold and arrange military blankets (shake them if necessary) 

  • Scrape off any bird droppings (ask for the scraper if needed) 

  • Dust cobwebs near the lights

  • Remove sand from outdoor showers 

  • Arrange the shoes at the shoe area and organize outdoor slippers

  • Gather loose items (leave a better trace)


* Storage room

  • Sort everything that has been used and tidy up (leave a better trace)

  • Refill and fix the oil lamps so they are ready for the next guest

  • Turn off the lights



* Tipi

  • Sweep the tipi clean

  • Hang up the reindeer hides with the hairy side inwards

  • Close the opening in the roof

  • Replenish the green box with kindling/matches, firewood and fire starters

  • Prepare the tipi for the next visitor (leave a better trace)

  • Take all blankets and forgotten items to the facility

  • Close the tipi


* Wood-fired Sauna

  • Sweep all the benches and the floor, making sure to remove sand, etc.

  • Mop the floor with fresh water (from the tub outside)

  • Polish the glass door (and windows if stained) with white or grey microfiber cloth and detergent that says “Mirrors and glassdoor”

  • Prepare the sauna for the next visitor (leave a better trace). 

  • Replenish the firewood and arrange the firewood baskets

  • Refill the plastic water can with tap water from the main house, for the next guest

  • Sweep the deck outside

  • Take any forgotten items to the facility

  • Close the door



* Electric Sauna and Relaxation Room

  • Sweep all the benches and the floor, making sure to remove sand, etc.

  • Mop the floor with fresh water (from the tap outside or main building)

  • Polish the glass door (and windows if stained) with white or grey microfiber cloth and detergent that says “Mirrors and glassdoor”

  • Dust the tables and surfaces (blue cloth)

  • Arrange the furniture

  • Refill the water plastic water can with tap water from the main house, for the next guest

  • Sweep the deck outside

  • Clean the beach

  • Take any forgotten items to the facility

  • Turn off the lights

  • Close the door



* Beaches

  • Clean the beach if needed

  • Rake regularly, and preferably before leaving the island.

  • All sun loungers, blankets, and toys are to be brought in every evening and placed back where they were taken from.



Laundry room

  • Wash/dry and fold regularly your used textiles such as bathroom and kitchen towels, aprons, cleaning cloths.

  • Remove fluff from the filters in the dryer

  • Wipe the surfaces with (blue cloth)

  • Mop the floor
