The Ekskäret Foundation's Board consists of representatives of collaborative partners who have contributed important skills and inspiration during the development of the foundation and its operations.
ERIK FERNHOLM
Chair of the board
Erik Fernholm is an entrepreneur and an esteemed speaker and educator. With his academic background in neuroscience, motivation and happiness research, Erik provides powerful perspectives and tools for self-leadership, creativity and well-being in an increasingly complex world. Erik is the initiator & co-founder of Better Schools, Growingminds, Lucky Activist and 29k. Erik collaborates with philanthropists and researchers at Karolinska Institutet. 29k is the latest initiative with the Norrsken Foundation.
TOMAS BJÖRKMAN
Founder
Tomas is an entrepreneur and financier, and has over the past 25 years built innovative international companies in the areas of banking and real estate. His entrepreneurship combined with a keen interest in both society and science led to the creation of the the Ekskäret Foundation in 2008. Ever since, Tomas has contributed to strategic and operational support, always full of curiosity, energy and commitment.
CAROLINE SAHLBORN STIERNSTEDT
Boardmember
Caroline is a change agent with many years of experience in different leadership positions and larger development and learning processes for private and public organizations, social transformation for regions etc. With the background from Tällberg Foundation, and as a consultant at GRO, she has created change projects, leadership programs, conferences and workshops both in Sweden and internationally for the Swedish Government etc. With Caroline's experience, from the private, public and non-profit sectors, she contributes to the development of the Foundation's strategies and the knowledge of improved collective leadership and capacities for co-creation.
MAJA FRANKEL
Bordmember
Maja is a social entrepreneur and has founded Framtidsboxen and the consulting firm Frankel & Friends, which specializes in human rights and democracy projects. Today she is the Scandinavian leader of Ashoka, the world's leading social entrepreneurship organization. Previously, she was Vice Chair of Swedish UNICEF and lecturer, course and process leader in social issues. Maja holds a bachelor's degree in Media and Communication Science and Global Development and is educated at the chaos pilots. Maja contributes to Ekskäret with knowledge of social entrepreneurship as a changing force.
GÖRAN GENNVI
Boardmember
Göran is the founder of Nature Academy Learning Lab AB. He was one of the pioneers who introduced methods for transformative development in Sweden and Europe. He has through close collaboration with Faith Keeper Oren Lyons and John P. Milton - Pioneering Ecologist developed and conducted numerous programs for deep transformation with both Swedish and international top executives. Göran possesses unique knowledge and experiences of programs like “Nature Quests” work, which is of central value to us at Ekskäret.
JAN ARTEM HENRIKSSON
Boardmember
Jan is one of the founders of SelfLeaders, who teaches in value-based leadership both in business and at a number of higher education institutions (such as KTH, Chalmers, Uppsala University and Stockholm School of Economics). Jan contributes to Ekskäret through his great interest in, and knowledge of, issues related to consciousness development and system thinking when it comes to creating value-driven leaders and organizations.
