MINDSHIFT - OUR SHARED COMMITMENT TO GROWTH THAT MATTERS
MindShift is a collaboration between the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), Center for Social Sustainability (CSS) at Karolinska Institute, 29k and Ekskäret Foundation. Together we co-create a set of events focused on how human growth can help us better face organizational, societal and global challenges.
We have a shared challenge. Our technological power has been increasing exponentially, but our ability to use it wisely has not. We are building vast and complex civilizations, yet that very complexity is in danger of overwhelming us, creating huge and unintended consequences for all people and the planet. A MindShift is needed, where we systematically start mastering and applying the tools of inner growth and development, to meet this shared challenge of ours.
THE NEXT MINDSHIFT CONFERENCE
On the 12th of May we will organize a next-level digital conference about Growth that Matters and how we create space and commitment in our organisations for inner growth as a natural part of progress and contribution to sustainable futures. This conference will also be the official launch for The Inner Development Goals.
You are invited to join this conference that gathers senior leaders, practitioners, experts and people passionate about human development and how it can help us to meet organizational, societal and global challenges.
We invite you to bring your own experience and questions to this shared exploration of how we best foster inner human growth to battle our greatest challenges. This grand task demands a stronger joint commitment and new ways of collaboration.
You will choose from a smorgasbord of workshops and deeper sessions (60-75 min) with practitioners and thought leaders like: Amy C. Edmondson – Harvard Business School - The Fearless Organization, Emma Stenström - Stockholm School of Economics, Erik Fernholm - CEO 29k, Jennifer Garvey Berger - Harvard University - Changing On The Job, Otto Scharmer - MIT - Theory U, Peter Senge – MIT - The Fifth Discipline, Robert Kegan – Harvard University - Immunity to Change and many more.
A FRAMEWORK OF SKILLS, CAPABILITIES AND QUALITIES
The UN Sustainable Development Goals were created as a roadmap to a sustainable future. We are now creating the Inner Development Goals - a framework of the capabilities, qualities, and skills that are needed to achieve the 17 goals. Our aim is to educate, inspire and empower people to be a positive force for change in society, in their own lives and those around them, and at the same time find purpose and meaning in their lives. The IDGs will provide a collective framework that helps us to solve complex problems. It will be a useful compass that encourages personal growth for everyone. This is especially useful for people in leading positions.
Based on the conviction that inner development is necessary for societal change, we have set out to present a framework describing crucial abilities, qualities, and skills that are needed for the transformation ahead.
In the work leading up to the Sustainable Development Goals, over seven million people and experts were asked what issues they found most important. Now, as we develop the Inner Development Goals, we would value your thoughts and insights. Please take the survey at www.innerdevelopmentgoals.org.
Work in progress on The Inner Development Goals will be presented on May 12th at the digital conference Mindshift - Growth That Matters.
